This is another shoot evoking the elegance of the 1950’s. Fur coats are plush, luxurious, and decadent, but they are also the products of slaughtering animals. Since these photos were taken, I have started eating vegan, and I am ambivalent about my fur coats. I view it this way: I have two vintage fur coats from animals that died a long time ago. Getting rid of my coats won’t bring those animals back. But I certainly won’t be buying any more fur coats.
